The Dutchman set his best lap in 1 minute 25.146 seconds ahead george russell (“Mercedes”, +0.341) and Charles Leclerc (“Ferrari”, +0.453).
The top 5 was closed by Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes, +0.615), who won the first test earlier on Friday, and Verstappen’s Red Bull partner Sergio Perez (+0.706).
On Saturday, in the final stage of the UAE Championship, third practice and qualifying will take place.
