Athletistic/Formula-1. On November 20, the F1 season ends with a race in Abu Dhabi.

Down-the-line.ru will broadcast a live-text online broadcast: Formula 1. Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Direct

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix grid is ready and we are ready for the last race of the season. Once again the familiar face of Max Verstappen in pole position with Sergio Pérez next to him blocking the front row. We have two Ferrari drivers in the form of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc in second row and two Mercedes drivers in third row.

Sebastian Vettel in his last race in Formula 1 will start the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 9th place, and Fernando Alonso will join him in 10th.

Max Verstappen will start from pole and it’s safe to say beating the Dutchman on Sunday won’t be easy. The driver arrived in Abu Dhabi after a rather terrible race in Brazil and is ready to win. The inherent speed of Max Verstappen’s Red Bull at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix seems unmatched so far.

Sergio Perez did an impressive job securing a front-row start ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. What was quite evident all weekend was the lack of freedom with which Ferrari drove their car. The Maranello team couldn’t run the car at maximum power all weekend, and that was evident from the timing of the car in Sector 2.

Ferrari’s race pace wasn’t the best of the top three teams and with Red Bull and Mercedes having stronger records in Sector 2 (with long straights) it could be tough for Leclerc to challenge or beat. Red Bull.

Mercedes performed poorly in qualifying, but the team had good race pace all weekend. This steady pace was evident in Friday’s FP2 sessions and Saturday’s FP3 sessions. But the German team’s plans to challenge Red Bull for victory fell apart somewhat when Mercedes could only secure a third-row start.

Lewis Hamilton and George Russell both showed impressive pace over the long distance on Friday. If we compare that with the speed Ferrari showed this weekend, a podium finish is definitely a possibility for Mercedes. We have a feeling that Mercedes will end the 2022 F1 season with a podium finish in Abu Dhabi.

Sebastian Vettel has been great all weekend. He will start the race in 9th place and Fernando Alonso will start with him in 10th.

More often than not, we’ve seen Aston Martin’s strategic division let Vettel down due to questionable racing strategies. However, at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, you can expect the four-time world champion to score points in the final race of his career.

His compatriot Mick Schumacher, on the other hand, does not have this luxury. Haas just isn’t up to the task in Abu Dhabi and it’s hard to imagine the young German scoring points in the race.

It also seems clear that if nothing dramatic happens in the race, Alpine will be able to defend its 19-point lead in the Constructors’ Championship ahead of the McLaren team.

McLaren needs a very impressive result to close that gap, and in races like the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix that just doesn’t happen. Apparently, Alpine will secure 4th place in the championship, and we can say that the French team deserved it.
