Arthur Leclerc: “I am delighted to take the next step and move to Formula 2, where I will drive for DAMS in 2023. This is a very successful team with excellent results, and I hope I can also contribute – together we will achieve new successes.
Charles Pic has done a great job helping the team find a way to win again during the season and I look forward to continuing this next year. But we still have a lot of work to do before the new season starts in March and I’m looking forward to testing in Abu Dhabi.”
Charles Peak, a former Formula 1 driver who once drove for the Russian team Marussia and is now the owner and head of the DAMS team, added: “It is great that Artur is joining us in 2023. We see him showing talent and skill over the course of his career and in F3 he has shown over the past two seasons that he is capable of fighting for wins.
We are happy to give him the opportunity to drive for testing in Abu Dhabi, and he will already start training for next season. The team expects to race with confidence in 2023 and we have no doubt that Arthur will help us achieve these goals.”
