Testing in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday worked as part of the Ferrari three drivers. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who led the protocol, split the day between themselves, while Robert Schwartzman drove a full test session.
Robert Schwartzman (3rd): “We had a positive test day in Abu Dhabi. I did 116 laps and did a lot. The test program turned out to be quite intensive – I worked on short and long runs, trained starts. I feel like I’ve improved quite a bit compared to Friday’s practice – my pace was close to Charles and Carlos, which is very positive for me. There are always opportunities to improve, but I think we showed very good potential.
Overall I am happy with the work done with the team this year on the simulator at Maranello. A real car feels very much like a virtual one. It was great to get the chance to pilot for the team – I loved today.
