Alfa Romeo is satisfied with the results of the test in Abu Dhabi and according to Valtteri Bottas this day was a good end to the season, after which the team from Hinwil took 6th place in the constructors’ championship.
Valttery Bottas (16th): “After the race weekend in Abu Dhabi, I completed 129 laps at the Yas Marina circuit – not a bad result! Today we focused on the Pirelli tire test, testing tires for next year, so it was an important day for collecting valuable information.
The car worked great, I did a lot of laps, we learned a lot, there were no difficulties and this day can be considered a good end to the season!”
Theo Purscher (24th): “During testing there was a lot of checking, try to find a setting that is more correct than the team used during the days of the Abu Dhabi race weekend, and I was discovering Formula 1, because I did not I don’t have such a great experience driving these machines.
I felt good, the session went well, I did a lot of laps, tried different tires and different settings. At the same time, I tried to go faster and faster, sometimes I came close to the limit of what was possible, but the main thing was that the car was not damaged.
