Russian racing driver Nikita Mazepin said his goal was to return to Formula 1 and that he was working towards it.
– There is a desire to continue to compete in motorsport, but an athlete still in the middle of a career needs to understand where to compete and where it might distract you. My objective is to return to Formula 1, I am working towards this. I played on the silk road with pleasure, luckily it led to victory, but I’m not a rally driver … Next year I will again participate in a new discipline for me- even, outside our country, but so far there is no signature on my hands,” Mazepin told reporters.
Mazepin was the Haas team driver in the 2021 season, finishing 21st in the final standings. On March 5, 2022, it was announced that the team was ending its cooperation with the Russian.
