Athletistic/ Formula 1. McLaren and Gulf Oil have agreed to end their partnership at the end of the 2022 season, team managing director Zach Brown has said.
“Our long-term cooperation has developed over many years and at different times in history. We have had many brilliant times together. But it’s time to end our cooperation naturally,” Brown said. Motorsport, citing Brown.
McLaren began a partnership with Gulf Oil in 1968 and lasted until 1973, and in modern Formula 1 that partnership was renewed at the 2020 British Grand Prix.
