Ferrari has officially confirmed the departure of Mattia Binotto as team principal on December 31. The Italian company is currently looking for a replacement – a new F1 team boss is expected to be appointed in early 2023.
Mattia Binotto: “It is with regret that I have decided to end my collaboration with Ferrari. I am leaving the company I love and have given 28 years of my life to. I feel calm because I am convinced that I did everything I could to achieve my goals.
I am leaving a close-knit and growing team. The team is strong and I am sure it can achieve the highest goals. I wish her all the best for the future.
I think it is right to take this step, even if it is a difficult decision for me. I thank all the employees of Gestione Sportiva who have shared this adventure with me, not only full of hardships, but also with great satisfaction.”
