Webber: Steiner no longer wants to invite debutants

Former Formula 1 driver Mark Webber is surprised by the Haas team’s decision to invite veteran Nico Hulkenberg to replace Mick Schumacher. According to Mark, this approach shows that the team no longer believes in young riders.

Mark Webber «Honestly, I’m a little surprised by their choice. In my opinion, this does not show in the best light the attitude towards young talents who are currently striving to get into Formula 1. The team seems to say they don’t see any of the youngsters who could go to Formula 1 and replace Mik.

As is known, Günther Steiner has decided not to invite newcomers anymore. He wanted to try the opposite and invite a veteran. Niko probably won’t crash any cars at all, so he’s in for a perfect year.

As far as I know, Niko is now actively involved in the gym. I was told he was overweight so good luck to him.”
