Lando Norris raced in Barcelona with a sore throat and high fever, but scored points for the team…
Lando Norris: “Today was very difficult for me. Before the race I was feeling bad due to a sore throat with a high temperature which made the race one of the toughest of my life.
All weekend I was like I wasn’t in my element, most of my energy was spent fighting the disease. I had to miss the technical briefings, which jeopardized my weekend, I couldn’t fully prepare for the Grand Prix. Given all this, I’m happy that I was able to finish and earn points for the team.
The team has worked hard to improve the car’s performance, so I’m happy that the weekend was productive. In the coming days we will study everything and prepare for Monaco.”
Daniel Riccardo (12th): “I would like to find something positive in today’s race, but the whole distance I fought with a car that lacked speed and grip compared to rivals. We had three pit stops, I used four sets of tires, but we didn’t have enough speed for all of them. Frankly, I don’t understand why this is, but we’ll try to find out.
Only a few days until the next race, I hope for a better result in Monaco.”
