Athletistic/ Formula 1. Former McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo has revealed he was aware of McLaren’s decision to terminate his contract for 2023.

“I already had a little suspicion. I saw my results, and I was unhappy about it myself. We ran out of ideas to change it.

I could no longer be sure that the contract would be fulfilled. There was already a feeling that something was happening. Two seasons were just not very good, after which the team began to have doubts, – says the 33-year-old Australian reserve driver “Red Bull”.

Ricciardo joined McLaren in early 2021. The team hoped his experience could help improve results, according to GPblog.
