The organizers of the Hungarian Grand Prix have announced plans to rebuild the Hungaroring circuit, which hosts Formula 1 stages, and announced that all tickets for the 2023 race have been sold.
As part of the approved strategic development program, the autodrome will carry out works to reconstruct the common infrastructure of the highway, especially the water supply system, and build new facilities – a control center, a reception area and a “customer zone”. . The race ring configuration will not change as part of the reconstruction.
Zsolt Gyulai, head of the Hungaroring: “We see the processes that take place in Formula 1 and which circuits are added to the calendar. We understand that our infrastructure is no longer adequate, so we cannot postpone the modernization work.
Traditional car dreams are gaining popularity, in which all the conditions are brought together and located in convenient places. Proximity to Budapest is our advantage, but we cannot ignore the possibilities of new circuits, whose infrastructure exceeds our capabilities.
Thanks to the strategic development program, we will be able to compete with them in the near future, which will allow us to keep Formula 1.”
