Next season Yuki Tsunoda will team up with Nick de Vries, who has only one Formula 1 race to his name, but has extensive experience in other racing series, including the Formula E championship title.
When Tsunoda was asked what his position on the team would be after De Vries’ arrival, Yuki stated that he didn’t care who became AlphaTauri’s leader.
“The team leader will be the faster rider,” Yuki Tsunoda replied. “Frankly, I don’t really care if I’m the leader or not. I am more focused on my own tasks as there is a lot to learn and a lot to add.
It is clear that a lot of responsibility will fall on me after Pierre’s departure, but I am sure that everything will be fine and that I will come back stronger next season. Yes, I have to improve in many ways, especially in terms of stability, but I have already clearly defined the goal for next season.
