Alfa Romeo F1 and pianist Vincent Korver dedicated a joint video clip to Sauber’s 30th anniversary in Formula 1 and sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship, the best result for the Hinwil team in the last ten years.
Fortissimo’s musical composition combines the sounds of a Steinway piano with samples from the C42 power plant and other technological actions of the team, recorded on the track in Barcelona.
Frederick Vasseur, Team Principal: “Formula 1 has a truly global reach and our team is now experiencing a wave of interest from people far removed from our traditional audience. This allows you to explore new worlds – and work with Vincent on this project.
No one has tried to recreate the dialogue between machine and piano for him, and the way he incorporates the sounds of the C42 and our team into his music makes us feel part of this project. For us, racing is an art, and now the art has come into racing.”
