The German F1 Insider, citing his sources in the team, reports that Ferrari has made a decision on the name of a new leader to replace Mattia Binotto.
As previously reported, it will be Frederic Vasseur. The appointment will be announced before the end of the year. For Frederic Vasseur, moving from Alfa Romeo to Ferrari is a career move, but at the same time a risk, as Scuderia owners expect him not only to win races, but also his first individual title since 2007.
Sources within the team assure that it will not be easy for Vasseur, as not everyone at Ferrari is happy with his appointment and Nicolas Todt, Charles Leclerc’s manager, will be Vasseur’s main opponent.
In 2004, Todt and Vasseur founded the ART Grand Prix team, which achieved serious success in the youth series, but four years ago a breakup occurred between business partners, which negatively affected their relationship. If the information from the German journalists is correct, we will soon find out whether Wasser and Todt can find a common language in Ferrari.
