Formula 1 has decided which circuits will host six sprint races during the 2023 season, according to the royal racing site.
Next year, sprints will be held in Azerbaijan (Baku Street track), Austria (Red Bull Ring track), Belgium (Spa-Francorchamps track), Qatar (Lusail track), USA (America track) and in Brazil (Interlagos highway).
Formula 1 chairman and chief executive Stefano Domenicali commented on the increase in the number of sprints from three to six next year.
“We saw an extremely positive reaction to the sprints in the first two years of the races. We look forward to giving fans even more fun with six events next year, including our first sprint in Austin,” he said.
The 2023 F1 season kicks off with the Bahrain Grand Prix, which will take place from March 3-5.
