In Formula 1, we continue to talk about the departure of Mattia Binotto as head of the Ferrari team. 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg agrees with those pundits who believe the constant change of leadership is not good for the Scuderia.
Nico Rosberg: “Did Ferrari do the right thing? It’s hard to say, but I’m sure continuity is important in Formula 1. Look at Mercedes or Red Bull – in these teams the key employees haven’t changed for a decade or more. Ferrari lacks stability.
Formula 1 team leader is one of the toughest jobs in the world. It will be difficult for Ferrari to find a replacement for Binotto as not many people in the market are up for the job. In addition to solving complex problems, a person will have to work under incredible pressure. Let’s see what solution they come up with.
If I were a racer and chose which team to drive for, I would prefer Red Bull because it is a safe option. I wouldn’t refuse Ferrari either, because there is an attraction in performing in a red car. But then I would have to give up hope for the title.”
