Riccardo is going to cross America on a motorcycle

When asked about his plans for 2023, Daniel Ricciardo often replied that he hadn’t thought about it yet, but in an interview with the Australian edition of Speedcafe he said he was going to tour America on a motorcycle.

Next season Daniel will not start in the World Cup, because McLaren refused his services earlier than planned, but immediately after the championship ended it was announced that he would become the third driver of the Red Bull Racing team.

However, Ricciardo will not be coming to all races as he intends to take a break from Formula 1’s heavy schedule and simply live for his own pleasure.

“I’m trying to find some balance to stay in our sport to some extent, but at the same time have free time that I can spend on myself,” Daniel said. – For example, I plan to pay more attention to training, go to the gym more often – in general, work on myself.

People don’t understand – I’m sorry, I don’t want to criticize anyone – that we have such a heavy traffic that we can only train one day a week. I also just want to spend more time doing other things, prioritizing things differently, including hatching plans to cross America on a motorcycle.

I know it will be fun and interesting, but it will also give me a chance to do a lot of introspection. For me it works great if you are all alone, in the middle of nature – I’m already looking forward to it.

I think if I spend enough time alone with myself I will find answers to many questions and it will become clear how to move forward. In particular, it will become clear whether it is the best decision for me to return to Formula 1 in 2024 and then let the teams decide whether they want to do business with me. But I think next year I will find answers to a lot of questions I have to ask myself.”
