Kevin Magnussen and his father, Jan Magnussen, performed quite well in the Abu Dhabi 12-hour race, taking 7th overall.
The 12 Hours of the Gulf marathon ended the season of the Intercontinental GT Challenge series, and first-class professionals, true masters of endurance racing, participate in it, but we can say that against their background, the MDK Motorsports crew #43, competing in the Ferrari 488 GT3, did not get lost, although he lost two laps to the leaders.
The winners were Ferrari works drivers Antonio Fuoco, James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi, who also drove the 488 GT3 sports car.
Father and son Magnussen took a particular interest in this race, as they pass the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January, and today’s performance was something of a workout. But they will start the traditional American marathon in a different car, albeit the same team: in Daytona they will drive a Porsche 911 GT3 R.
It is Kevin’s third time driving this race, but for the first time in the GT3 class and for the first time in the same crew as his father and MDK Motosports owner Mark Kvamme.
