Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz changed the race cockpit for a recording studio for one day. The fact is that they were invited to voice one of the heroes of Pixar’s new cartoon “Buzz Lightyear”, a spin-off of the Toy Story franchise.
The Ferrari drivers voiced the same character for the Italian and Spanish dubs. Who exactly, the Ferrari press service does not name, so as not to spoil the surprise, and proposes to wait for the release of the cartoon. The world premiere is scheduled for June 15, 2022.
“I have completed the voice acting of the character for the cartoon ‘Buzz Lightyear’,” said Charles Leclerc. – This is my first such experience – in the past I have not done anything like this. It was a little weird and a lot harder than I thought. I had a great experience and am looking forward to the end result.”
This isn’t the first time Formula 1 drivers have had the voice of cartoon characters. In the first part of the Cars franchise, racing Ferrari spoke with the voice of Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Vitaly Petrov spoke the characters in the second Cars, and in the third part one of the characters spoke with the voice of Sebastian Vettel.
