Ferrari has announced its new F1 team principal

Frédéric Wasser will be the new head of Ferrari’s Formula One racing team. It was officially announced in the Italian stable.

The 54-year-old French specialist, who previously led another Italian F-1 stable, Alfa Romeo, should start his activities with the new team from January 2023.

On the eve it became known that Vasser resigned as the head of Alfa Romeo, where he worked for the past six years. Recall that at Ferrari the Frenchman will replace Mattia Binotto, who led the team since 2019 and decided to leave his position at the end of 2022.

Remember that in the last Formula 1 championship Alfa Romeo took sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship, gaining 55 points. Team Ferrari (554 points) finished second behind Red Bull (759 points).
