Ralf Schumacher: Williams investors were impatient

On Monday, Williams announced the resignation of Jost Capito as team principal. Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher, who has won all of his six victories at the wheel of Williams, believes the team’s investors made the wrong decision by refusing Capito’s services.

“Jost’s dismissal came as a surprise,” Ralf shared his opinion on German Sky. – I think his position will be taken by someone who already works in the team.

I can assume the reason was investor dissatisfaction with the team’s progress. This is evidenced by the fact that not only Capito has left, but also other key employees. I’m sorry Josh. I think investors have been impatient. They should have given him more time.”

Commenting on Andreas Seidl’s move from McLaren to Sauber, Ralf Schumacher suggested the appointment of a German specialist could be bad news for Valtteri Bottas: “Sauber has time to prepare well for his entry into the Audi championship . I am very interested in which of the riders will invite Andreas to the team.

Guanyu Zhou’s place is more or less guaranteed. His sponsors bring in serious money, which is important for Sauber until 2026. As for Valtteri, I’m not sure he will be able to stay in the team that long.

Ralph’s words about Bottas’ prospects line up with rumors that Andreas Seidl will try to lure Lando Norris from McLaren, making him the team’s leader.
