In an interview with RacingNews365.com, Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner said next year the teams’ results will coincide and he expects a tighter battle…
Christian Horner: “After major changes in the regulations, the difference between the teams inevitably widens – someone managed to do everything right and someone made a mistake in developing the car.
Who would have thought that after years of dominance, Mercedes would only win one race this year? We were lucky, we did everything right and won a lot of races, but I have no doubt that the stats will be different in 2023.
Of course I would like our team to continue to dominate, but in our sport it is unrealistic – the rivals are too strong. This year they drew conclusions, so next season the fight will be much fiercer.
It will be more difficult for us, but the fans and the sport in general will only benefit from this.”
