At the end of 2022, Sebastian Vettel ended his sports career. His former Red Bull Racing teammate Mark Webber believes the four-time world champion can still compete in Formula 1.
Mark Webber “I think Sebastian picked the right time to leave, but maybe a little earlier than he should have because he’s still a great pilot. I am happy that Sebastian has had a wonderful career and has remained healthy. At the beginning of his career he kept going, but in his best days he was capable of a lot. In Formula 1 they will miss him – four-time world champions will not be forgotten.
At the start of his career, things didn’t go smoothly for us! I climbed on the podium with him, but the distribution of positions, let’s say, was quite controversial at times, to say the least.
Over the years, Sebastian has changed and began to bring a lot into the sport – this was not typical for him at the beginning of his career. He not only achieved results, but also did something more. I take my hat off to Sebastian.”
