Athletistic/ Formula 1. “Mercedes” driver George Russell spoke about plans for the upcoming season. Russell believes the speed at which Mercedes have progressed since overcoming their issues points to a new upward trajectory for the battle ahead.
“I think when you look at the development of the car and the speed with which we have closed the gap, there is no reason to believe that we cannot fight Red Bull.
The fact that we were able to compete for race wins says a lot. So I have total confidence in this team. If you look at the speed of development, I’m confident we can definitely compete for the championship,” said 24-year-old Mercedes driver Russell.
