Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton may participate in an agreement to acquire a football club “Manchester United” if British businessman Jim Ratcliffe makes an offer to buy, reports shimmer .

Ratcliffe, owner of petrochemical company Ineos, was in talks with the family of American entrepreneurs Glazer in August to acquire Manchester United, but the deal fell through at the time. In November, British media claimed the billionaire had regained interest in the club.

Hamilton knows Ratcliffe well. Ineos is the main sponsor of the Mercedes team for which the rider plays. In addition, the entrepreneur is co-owner of the team together with the leader of the “stable” Toto Wolff.

In 2022, Hamilton acquired a stake in American football club Denver Broncos, he also has his own film company and his own clothing brand.
