On Saturday, not everyone managed to find a compromise between the suspension height and the car’s handling, so the teams made adjustments and continued preparing for qualifying on Saturday morning.
As on the previous day, the temperature of the tarmac was above 50 degrees, making it impossible to prepare for the race, which is expected to be held in cool weather and light rain – it will get colder in Monaco on Sunday evening.
Most teams missed the first ten minutes of the third practice, the leaders left when the condition of the asphalt improved.
There were significantly fewer incidents than on Friday. Stroll and Sainz ran into the safety bag in the first corner. Verstappen cut the chicane to avoid colliding with Bottas, who had slowed down. Sainz prevented Stroll into Turn 19 – the stewards will resolve this incident after the session. Later, Lance’s car bounced off the curb and he crashed into the guardrail, broke the front suspension – and returned to the pits.
The best time was shown by Sergio Pérez, who set the best lap in 1:12.476.
