“We have known each other since we were young as we grew up in karting around the same time, although we had never raced against each other. We raced together for the first time at Monza l he last year when we were side by side on the grid, it was amazing.
We have a great relationship: we grew up in racing, our fathers were very involved, because karting competitions in Europe were very similar, we respect each other a lot. We are from the same country, speak the same language and we get along well. Even though I’m older, I feel like Max Verstappen is like a big brother to me in the F1 paddock. He has certainly achieved a lot and already has a lot of experience,” said Nick de Vries.
