Ollie Grey, who studies at the Williams Racing Academy, will switch to Formula 3 in 2023 and drive for Carlin. Last season he spent in British F4, where he also drove this team’s car, and took two victories, climbed the podium 16 times and took second place in the individual classification.
Gray will continue to work closely with Williams – the Grove team will help him improve his racing skills.
Olly Gray: “I am very excited to move into F3 and will also continue to work with Williams Racing as their academy driver. I have complex problems to solve, but I am ready and I am determined to work fruitfully with a team that we get along with.
Thanks again Williams Racing and Carlin! In 2023 I will try to fight for high results.”
Steven SmithWilliams Racing sporting director said: “Olli had a very strong season in British Formula 4 and we decided it was time for him to move to Formula 3 where he would continue to drive for Carlin. In his first season as a student at our Racing Academy, Ollie showed his talents on the track, winning races and climbing podiums, and working with Williams.
In 2023 we will monitor his progress and see what he can do in F3.”
