Formula 2: Hitech and Carlin confirm selection for 2023

The Formula 2 teams Hitech and Carlin have confirmed their selection for the 2023 season.

Hitech will be driven by Red Bull youth program members Isaac Hajjar and Jack Crawford, both making their Formula 2 debuts. In 2022, Hajjar took three Formula 3 victories and finished fourth in the drivers’ standings. His new teammate Crawford also spent last season in Formula 3 with one win and seventh overall.

Carlin will also show two more drivers from the Red Bull youth program: Formula 3 vice-champion Zane Maloney and Enzo Fittipaldi, who entered Formula 2 in 2022, took the podium six times and finished eighth in the individual standings.

Isaac Hajjar: “I am very excited to join the Red Bull Junior program and continue my partnership with Hitech in the new year. I hope we win more races and have a strong season.”

Jack Crawford: “I’m excited to be back with Hitech and have my first season in Formula 2 with the team. There are strong contenders in the championship so it’s going to be a tough year, but I’m looking forward to what the future brings. “

Dan Maloney: “After one season in Formula 3 I had a fantastic opportunity to drive in Formula 2 with Carlin and be part of Red Bull Junior. I will be reunited with a team I know well and with whom I won the Formula 4 title.

I was convinced how strong the team is in Formula 2 and we had a great test together in Abu Dhabi at the end of last year. I will be driving in the colors of Red Bull – my dream has come true and I am very much looking forward to starting the new season in Bahrain next month.”

Enzo Fittipaldi: “I am thrilled to join Carlin in 2023 and be part of the Red Bull family. This is a great opportunity for me and I can’t wait for the first race weekend in Bahrain.”
