Miami will renovate track for the 2023 race

The organizers of the Miami Grand Prix spoke about the changes to the circuit that will take place before the 2023 race.

The F1 Team Village will be built on the Hard Rock Stadium field, around which the circuit is built, to house guest quarters for all teams, freeing up scarce paddock space. In addition, a new three-storey building of the Paddock Club will be built, which can accommodate more than six thousand people.

However, the main changes will be on track. The Hermann Tilke Architectural Bureau will modernize the track to increase overtaking opportunities and ensure a tighter fight. While the organizers don’t say this in plain text, the imminent modernization actually means changes to the configuration of some corners. In addition, there will be asphalt on the track.

Tyler Epp, President of the Miami Grand Prix: “After an incredible debut race, we have worked hard to make 2023 even more exciting for all in attendance. Steven Ross and Tom Garfinkle aim to make May’s race the best in class, unlike any other in Formula 1.

With new expanded hospitality options and the creation of an F1 Team Village right on the football field, we expect Race 2 to be even bigger and better for fans, teams, drivers, partners and everyone in South Florida.
