The art of the poster allows for many different approaches, styles and artistic solutions depending on the purpose set by the author or the client.
In McLaren, by making a poster dedicated to the Monaco Grand Prix, they did not become too original and nevertheless pleased the fans with their own interesting work, in which they remembered all their racers who have spent the past nearly forty years on the famous city circuit distinguished year.
Here we see Alain Prost, who won four times in Monaco in the 1980s with McLaren cars, handing over a bottle of award-winning champagne.
Of course, there are also fellow rivals Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard, who all won here as well. Kimi Raikkonen deserves special attention, who won the Monaco Grand Prix in 2005, when he still played for the team from Woking. He’s an unusual character, so the poster’s author depicted him relaxing in a hammock, which is quite a Finn style.
Long ago Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton said goodbye to McLaren, but once they won races in Monaco with silver cars with Mercedes engines. Brixworth-built power plants still feature on McLaren cars today, when driven by Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo.
On the top deck of a luxury yacht, next to the seven-time world champion, we see an Australian, and of course with a boot in his hand – all fans know his habit of celebrating great success with a sip of champagne straight from the shoe. In Monaco he did it in 2018, his last season with Red Bull.
Of all the ones we see on the poster, only Lando Norris didn’t win here, but last year he managed to finish third in the Mediterranean principality, and of course McLaren hopes that sooner or later he will rise to the top of the podium , because the talented Brit has everything it takes.
