The organizers of the Race of Champions, which will be held in Piet-Havsbad, Sweden from January 28-29, 2023, have announced the names of two more participants.
Nine-time World Rally Champion and winner of last year’s Race of Champions Sébastien Loeb and 2022 eTouring Car World Cup winner Adrien Tambay will be competing. In the Nations Cup, Loeb and Tambe represent the French team.
Sébastien Loeb: “I have many memories of the Race of Champions over the past 20 years. It’s always nice to meet riders in such a pleasant environment.
During the competition, we have to adapt to all cars, and the snow and ice races in Sweden only complicate the task. It’s not easy to fight against the guys from the Scandinavian countries, but last year I managed to find the speed! In the final it was nice to fight Sebastian Vettel and I’m happy to go this way again this year.
I am happy that Adrien and I will represent France in the Nations Cup. I hope we can give France a double victory.”
Adrien Tambay: “It is a great honor for me to participate in the Race of Champions for the first time. As a child I loved to watch these games on TV. I look forward to taking part and competing with the legends of motorsport myself, including my childhood heroes!”
