The debut Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was held at a temporary circuit in Jeddah in 2021, but the podium should move to Qiddiya in 2026 after construction of a stationary circuit is completed. However, today the organizers of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix announced that the circuit in Jeddah will host the Formula 1 stages until at least 2027.
“It is important that we have guaranteed the future of the Jeddah circuit,” said podium promoter Martin Whitaker. “To do this, we have worked with the FIA and Formula 1 to ensure we can continue to host races in Jeddah as long as construction work continues in Qiddiya.
The circuit in Kydia is being designed as the world’s best Formula 1 and entertainment venue. This is a unique project and we all want to get there as soon as possible, but in the near future all our attention and the attention of the whole world will be on Jeddah.”
