After the finish of the Monaco Grand Prix, Valtteri Bottas was in a hurry to get in front of the TV as soon as possible, but not at all to watch the important moments of the race for him – he will have time to do this afterwards. Valtteri feared he would miss the start of the final game of the Ice Hockey World Championship, in which the Finnish national team competed against the Canadians.
When asked to predict the outcome of the old rivals’ fight, Valtteri said: “Finland will win 4-1.”
Now it is known that he was right, the “lions” really won and really scored four goals against the opponents, but they missed three, not one.
It’s also worth noting that despite the heat, Valtteri walked through the paddock in Monaco in the uniform of the Finnish hockey team.
As for yesterday’s race, Bottas was happy to earn points for 9th place: “Relative to the start I played three positions. It’s not that easy in Monaco, so we showed a good result.
I just don’t understand why it was necessary to delay the start of the race for so long. There was a real mess and I’m sure in Formula 1 it will analyze all this and draw the necessary conclusions.
However, the track was very slippery, it was not easy to get the desired grip even when the road surface was dry. Together with the team we have to find out why our car in Monaco was slower than we expected. I hope things get a little better in Baku.”
