Speaking at an event in Las Vegas, Formula 1 boss Stefano Domenicali said hosting the Grand Prix will have a bigger impact on the city than next year’s NFL Super Bowl final.
Stefano Domenicali: “The Super Cup will not be held until next year and we have been coming for a long time. Formula 1 will have a permanent presence in Vegas. Other stages will only attract special attention at venues for a week, but Las Vegas will be where Formula 1’s presence will continue to evolve.
Preparations continue. Many will be ready at the last minute. This is part of the game. But here we have found real professionals and we have no doubt that everything will be ready in time.”
Rene Wilm, executive director of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, told local KTVV that the track is now being built in separate sections to minimize inconvenience. Serious work will begin in July.
