Frederic Wasser: “I joined the team just over two weeks ago. As you can imagine, some issues can take a long time to resolve. First of all, I am talking about the power plant. I hope that the team has done a great job in this direction over the past few months and that everything is now under control, but this is only part of the equation.

When talking about strategy, aerodynamics or whatever, it’s important to avoid focusing only on the person at the top. In the case of strategy, it’s much more a matter of organization than just the guy ordering the pit wall.

I will try to find the cause of every mistake from last year, to understand whether it has to do with the decision-making process, organization, communication or something else.

Often the biggest problem on the pit wall is too active a discussion, too many specialists involved. If a dozen people discuss an issue, the car moves way ahead until they agree. A few employees are enough to take their place.

Now Ferrari is in the process of analysis. There is not much time, but we understand that we have to change something.”
