Lewis Hamilton recalled how his life “flashed before my eyes” when he won his seventh world title…
Lewis Hamilton: “Over the years I have become very close to Mercedes Benz and Daimler. They were so open that in 2020 we changed the color of the car from silver to black. I said to them, “The car has always been silver, it’s always been the Silver Arrows. Can you imagine what signal we can give if we change the color of the car to black?”
And we spent the whole season with a black car. We didn’t even really talk about it, we just left it as it is. And it was with this car that I won my seventh title. The emotions were incredible. To be honest, the whole life flashed before my eyes, the whole struggle, all the doubts whether it would work out or not.
I crossed the finish line saying “I did it” and I want the kids to know they can do it too. That’s what I try to do every day: teach children faith.”
