AlphaTauri head Franz Tost spoke about what he expects from Yuki Tsunoda in 2023. The Japanese driver is now in his third season in Formula 1 and Toast is counting on Yuki to improve and rise to the next level.
Franz Tost: “Yuki has progressed quite well considering that the 2022 season was difficult because the results were more dependent on the car. I must say that he improved noticeably, especially in the last races.
In addition, he performed strongly in qualifications and learned to communicate on the radio – from him we practically did not hear unprintable expressions or a vivid display of emotions.
Yuki needs to focus more on Formula 1 to better prepare for everything. He needs to add a little more, but to do it in different areas. He doesn’t have any weaknesses, he’s quite good, but he needs to improve in all aspects to rise to the next level.”
