Ford is monitoring the situation in Formula 1

In recent months, Formula 1 has been actively talking about a possible return to Ford’s championship. Rumor has it that a collaboration between the team and the American car giant will be announced this Friday at the presentation of Red Bull Racing in New York.

Ford tries not to comment on such speculation, but the Cologne Express newspaper quoted the head of the company’s sports division, Mark Rushbrook, as saying that Ford follows Formula 1 and is aware of the situation in the championship: “Formula 1 is strong and evolving, such as in the US, but also around the world.

They organize great events and hold interesting races. Thanks to projects like Drive to Survive, Formula 1 has managed to reach a new audience.”

However, when asked about Ford’s possible participation in Formula 1, Rushbrook said: “We do not comment on such assumptions, nor on rumors about other racing series. Our job is to study and understand this or that championship, and then decide whether it makes sense to participate.”
