At the end of 2022, the American oil company Gulf Oil International announced the end of the partnership with McLaren. However, information appeared already in January 2023 that Gulf had not yet completely left Formula 1, and in the new season the logos would appear on the cars of another team.
According to rumors, Williams should become a new partner of Gulf, in whose composition American driver Logan Sargent will make his debut. Confirmation of this information was expected at the presentation on February 6, but Williams leaked and confirmed the partnership with Gulf in advance.
A page dedicated to Gulf has appeared on the team’s official website in the “Partners” section. The page was available for several hours, after which access to it was closed, but the Internet remembers everything.
Now it is waiting for the official presentation of Williams to find out the status of Gulf – one of the team’s partners or title sponsor.
