WEC: Robert Kubica returns to the WRT team in 2023

The Belgian WRT team has confirmed the first of two teams to compete in the 2023 LMP2 World Endurance Championship. Together with Louis Delétraz and Rui Andrade, Oreca 07 number 41 will be driven by Robert Kubica.

The crew turned out to be international: Deletraz represents Switzerland, Andrade represents Angola and Kubica represents Poland. Robert already has experience with WRT: in 2021 he won the title in the ELMS series together with Deleatraz and the Chinese rider Ye Yifei.

Robert Kubica: “I am very happy to be back in the WRT family and this time I will represent this team in the WEC. In 2021 we raced together in ELMS and won that championship in car #41.

This will be my third year with Louis and it will be my first time working with Rui, but I know him well because we met in the paddock. Louie has always spoken highly of him as they acted together in the IMSA series.

Racing in the WEC and Le Mans is a big test and it would be great to get another round there this time, because we didn’t manage to do that in 2021, missing out on the last round win. We will try to stay focused and work hard to get the best possible results.”
