The organizers of the youth women’s series F1 Academy announced the name of the second participant. She was 18-year-old native of the Philippines Bianca Bustamante, who will play for the Prema team.
Bianca made her Formula debut last year with a season in the W Series. She earned two points and placed fifteenth overall.
Bianca Bustamante: “I am very much looking forward to joining Prema for the 2023 season. I made my Formula One debut last year, so the season turned out to be difficult, but the current transition is a big step forward in my career.
Prema is one of the leading racing teams in the world and I am very grateful to have joined their family. I joined one of the leading racing development programs for young drivers on and off the track. The most important thing is that I now have a rigorous racing and testing program and that I get the necessary driving time to give my best.
Thanks to Prema for inviting me to the program and thanks to Formula 1 for launching a series that supports young drivers.”
