Verstappen: I have asked Netflix to consider my opinion

Max Verstappen has been very critical of the Drive to Survive series lately and initially even refused to star in the fifth season, but gradually changed his mind about this work of Netflix documentaries. Last year he believed the creators were too loose in their interpretation of the events of the championship, but it seems the two-time world champion is now ready to make some compromises and accept these rules of the game.

“I’ve always said I wanted to look on screen like I am in real life,” the Red Bull Racing driver is quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport. – I talked to the producers about these topics and they accepted my point of view.

I understand that you have to make something up to increase the entertainment, but I want people to have a realistic view of me, that’s the kind of person I am.

I asked for my opinion to be taken into account, although I agree that this series plays a very important role in popularizing our sport. Let’s hope Drive to Survive Season 5 follows the story I was talking about, but we’ll understand that when we watch it.”
