Williams driver Alex Albon is confident that his second year with a team that finished last season in last place in the Constructors’ Championship will be more positive…
Alex Albon: “I am very disappointed that we didn’t get the results we deserved last year, although it had nothing to do with me personally. But I thought about what I can add, what I can do better.
Back in Formula 1 after a forced break I felt more motivated, I had time to think about what I was doing wrong. And last year, strange as it may sound, I was more confident in my abilities.
I haven’t spoken to Riccardo since news of his resignation. He is a racer from another generation. When I left the game I was young and really wanted to return to Formula 1. Daniel is a successful racer, he probably didn’t want to sign a contract with a team that couldn’t compete for wins. And I was ready to sign a contract with any team just to get back in the race. I think that’s the main difference.”
