Alfa Romeo confirmed the successful debut of the C43 during a test drive of the new car in Barcelona, where Valtteri Bottas and Guangyu Zhou drove the first kilometers of a filming day for partners and sponsors.
C43 will appear on the track tomorrow, when the team will spend the second day of shooting allowed by the regulations – reserve pilot Theo Purscher will be behind the wheel.
John Monchaux, technical director of Alfa Romeo F1: “The debut of the C43 is an important moment in the team’s history and highlights its proximity to the start of the season. It was important to us to make sure everything was okay with the car.
We are grateful to everyone who worked with her, including our partners at Ferrari. We are ready for the tests and look forward to continuing the tests in Bahrain.”
