The Aston Martin team will present their new car on Monday evening, and it will be a real AMR23, not a show car in a new version of the “war paint”.
Mark Gray, an experienced specialist, is responsible for the assembly of the car in the team, who manage the entire process and coordinate the actions of all Aston Martin F1 departments involved.
“Actually, this is the 19th Formula 1 car I’m involved in assembling,” said Gray. – But the learning process is always going on, because the difficulties you once went through often come back again, and it is only with experience that you begin to understand how to avoid it.
Often at night when you go to bed you can’t get rid of all these thoughts and keep thinking about what still needs to be done and what hasn’t been done yet. Anyone involved in assembling a new car, even in the evening, exchanging messages, asking each other questions or setting some kind of reminder for things that need to be done tomorrow – this is quite common.
Personally, I am not allowed to sleep peacefully due to some kind of insecurity that is always lurking. We hope that the car will be reliable, for this we do everything in our power. But unknown factors always remain and it is simply impossible to prepare for everything.
