mexican runner “Red Bull” Sergio Perez extended the contract with the team until the end of 2024, reports the press service of the Austrian team.
The previous deal with the 32-year-old was calculated until the end of this season.
“It has been an incredible week for me. Winning the Monaco Grand Prix is every driver’s dream and the subsequent announcement that I will continue with the team until 2024 makes me very happy. I am proud to be part of this team, I feel at home here. We work well together and my relationship with Max (Verstappen) on and off the track definitely helps us going forward,” said Perez.
In the driver standings for the 2022 season, Perez is in third place. Last Sunday, the Mexican won the Monte-Carlo race.
