Vasseur: I won’t jump to conclusions until the first race

Ferrari boss Frédéric Vasseur said during pre-season testing in Bahrain, which begins on February 23, the reliability of the car and power plant will be the team’s priority. The French specialist also said he has not yet made a reshuffle at the Scuderia as he has spent little time at Maranello and does not want to jump to conclusions.

“At this stage of the season, reliability is the top priority for everyone,” said Frédéric Wasser at the presentation of the SF-23. – If the car is unreliable, then you cannot work normally for three days of testing in Bahrain and you start the season with a backlog.

We’ve done the necessary miles on dynamic stands, so we’re optimistic, but only in Bahrain can we judge how competitive our bike is. At the moment everything is fine, but the view of the situation when you are in the team and when you look from the outside is different.

I got an invitation to work at Ferrari quite late. For the past four weeks I’ve been trying to figure out what’s going on in the team and what went wrong last year. However, I will only draw conclusions in the first phase of the season.
