Andretti responded to criticism of Domenicali

F1 boss Stefano Domenicali recently criticized Michael Andretti’s approach to drawing attention to his Andretti Global project, which aims to host the 11th Formula 1 team, calling it too public, even loud.

In an interview with PlanetF1, the project leader’s father, 1978 Formula 1 champion Mario Andretti, called this criticism unjustified…

Mario Andretti: “Perhaps our statements about the arrival of Michael’s team in Formula 1 were too emotional, but only because they were concerned about this and were evaluating the prospects of the project. There was nothing bad or negative about it. In all other respects we have fully followed all the rules.

That’s all we can do. You can look at it in different ways, but I don’t feel like we violated or did anything wrong. We just act in the spirit of what we think is of interest to the public, in dealing with the press. That’s life. I don’t think you can blame us for that.”
